The 3 is a fully assembled coupler that is ready to mount directly onto your models. We know that not everyone has the time or dexterity to fiddle around with small parts so we’ve preassembled the 148 Whisker® couplers into 242 gearboxes ahead of time. Adding Kadee® couplers to your models couldn’t be easier.

It is not recommended to use a metal coupler directly on a metal surface or in a metal draft gearbox to avoid possible electrical crossover and shorting that may cause damage. For insulated couplers use 28 coupler.
